My review of Bloodhound gig I went too (Found it on another board I had posted it on randomly lol) 11th November, 7:30 pm was a night to remember. I was going to see The Bloodhound Gang, not only was I going to be surprised by the madness of a crazy japanese band that even Minkaro would award a medal to for being so insane but it has to have been one of the best gigs i have been to. The night started off and some crappy band was on, obviousley a filler, we waited for a few minutes after the band went off stage and another band came on, me thinking this band was going to be another filler shrugged it off but to my utmost surprise these guys were insane they were called Electric Eel Shock, and my friends let me tell you they have 1: Good catchy songs, 2: There absoloutely bonkers 3: There so God Damn funny. The drummer was stark naked with nothing but a sock to hide his...thing...and the bassist was hitting himself on the head with his guitar whilst the guitarist was possibly the only sane one there by a margine. However it wasn;t just the crazy style they chose to play in but they also had catchy songs such as "Bas*tard!" and "Suicide Rock 'N' Roll" that sent the fans in to a frenzy, they finished their part of the night by covering a classic: "Iron Man" they were absoloutely top bolloc*s and i suggest you try and get a listen or ask me on msn for some of their stuff. By now the crowd had become restless and were chanting in unison for Bloodhound Gang, bottles were threw, fights ensued and finally aki from Electric Eel Shock made his way to the stage, shouting at the fans "Bastard" they heartely chanted back to him "Bastard" as appreciation, Aki before leaving decided to say a few things "It has been a good night and now I introduce you to my round eyed friends" were his chosen words, which made the crowd laugh out in hysterics. Bloodhound made their way to the stage and were hit with an almighty roar of cheers from the fans. They played classics such as "Along Came Mary, Ralph Wiggum and three point one four" and many others before they took an amusing stand against something I even hate. "I know what's worse than you fans" Jimmy says "A free Audioslave T-Shirt" the fans throw it back obviousley disgusted and the bassist came out with something that makes me laugh to this day: "I know whats worse than a free audioslave T-Shirt...A free Man United T Shirt" you see true rockers know who to support...Not united They eventually took requests from fans after the bassist ripped open a glow stick and poored the contents all over himself wich Imust say had a cool effect, they played Ballad Of Chasey Lain, Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo, and yet another classic line in which he determined his name was to become "Osama - Jim - Laden" after he declared he wanted to be on the winning side since bin laden has supposably nuclear weapons even adding insult to injury by playing "Hell Yeah" which IMO they played rather fuc*ing well. Before resorting to lame ass covers...or at least the songs were crap BHG played them well anyway, the night finally ended or so we thought as bloodhound did not come on for a brief period of time, yet when they did they sent the crowd in to laughs as they came up with the "dum solo" in which each member had a drum piece on each head. And when the night actually did seem like it was over they finished with the "bad touch", leaving us unfotunately wanting more. Also hopefully going to see Avenged Sevenfold which would kick serious ass.
